This page identifies the legal entity behind the Lexborn service (lexborn.app) for the purposes of EU e-commerce transparency requirements (Directive 2000/31/EC, Article 5), the Finnish Information Society Code (Tietoyhteiskuntakaari / Sähköisen viestinnän palveluista annettu laki 917/2014), the German Telemediengesetz §5 standard for visitors arriving from German-speaking jurisdictions, and the EU Digital Services Act point-of-contact requirements.

VAT and tax

Lexborn collects payments through Polar.sh acting as Merchant of Record, which collects and remits applicable VAT, GST, and sales tax in the customer's jurisdiction. Nuits is registered for Finnish VAT (Arvonlisävero) under Y-tunnus 3584845-8 where applicable.

Supervisory authority

The competent data-protection supervisory authority for Lexborn is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman of Finland (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto), https://tietosuoja.fi.

Online dispute resolution

EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not, however, obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer-arbitration body within the meaning of §36 of the Finnish Act on Out-of-Court Resolution of Consumer Disputes; we will respond to good-faith complaints sent to hi@lexborn.app.
